Host Destination TIROL

With a diverse spectrum ranging from sporting activities, to a wide variety of cultural events, nature and health - Tirol has much to offer throughout the year.

Tirol is also “on top” when it comes to climbing. 15 climbing regions from St. Anton am Arlberg, to the Steinberg Mountains and Osttirol are waiting to be conquered in the “Climbers Paradise Tirol”. No other alpine region has as many climbing parks, via Ferrate routes, bouldering areas and climbing facilities as Tirol.

A premium partnership was established in 2017 between KVÖ and sport.tirol - the burgeoning brand under the Tirol Werbung umbrella, whose prime objective is to position Tirol as the number one sporting state in the Alps. What sport.tirol and KVÖ have in common, amongst others, is the shared objective of presenting Tirol as a climbing destination that offers optimal conditions both out on the rocks as well as in climbing halls, to facilitate sporting performances of excellence.

Athletes belonging to the Austrian National Climbing Team receive support within the scope of this cooperation, making them ambassadors of Tirol as a sporting nation.
